Tourism and events (visitor economy) create jobs and economic prosperity in communities right across Victoria.

In 2017-18, tourism was estimated to be worth $395 million to the region’s economy (in direct and indirect Gross Regional Product) representing 34.7% of the region’s economy. Tourism generated employment of approximately 4,300 people or 35% of the region’s employment (direct and indirect jobs).
