Destination Phillip Island is the peak industry body for tourism in the Phillip Island region.

The board partners with the local industry, Bass Coast Shire Council, Visit Victoria and Tourism Australia to deliver strategies to grow and sustain tourism in the region.

Tourism and events (visitor economy) creates jobs and economic prosperity in communities right across Victoria.

In 2017-18, tourism was estimated to be worth $395 million to the region’s economy (in direct and indirect Gross Regional Product) representing 34.7% of the regions economy. Tourism generated employment of approximately 4,300 people or 35% of the region’s employment (direct and indirect jobs).
